Terminals 1, 2, 3: drivers wait in the arrivals hall. Terminal 4: drivers wait outside the exit — T4 is smaller and less crowded. Jewel Changi (connecting terminal) has no arrivals pickup — exit through your terminal first.

The MRT is clean and efficient but requires a transfer at Tanah Merah station — manageable with light luggage, challenging with large suitcases.

If heading to Orchard Road or Marina Bay Sands, specify the exact hotel — Singapore has multiple properties in each area.

What the extra money buys is a fixed price you confirm immediately instead of a bid you wait for, a driver meeting you inside the terminal instead of at a pickup point, and a cancellation deadline you can read at checkout rather than terms set by whichever carrier wins the auction. On a short daytime transfer that is mostly convenience. On a long one, a late-night landing, or a first visit to the airport, it is the part of the booking most likely to matter.
